In general, pergola and pavilion pricing reflects far more than square footage. Design complexity, structure size, material quality, timber dimensions, craftsmanship, finish, engineering, and installation standards all affect the final cost. Pricing is also influenced by a contractorās purchasing power, fabrication methods, operating efficiency, and ability to reduce labor and material waste. As a result, two structures with similar dimensions may differ significantly in quality, durability, appearance, and price.
At COVER Timberworks, the base price of a pergola or pavilion is primarily determined by four factors:
- Series: Summit Series structures are offered in fixed sizes and configurations developed to maximize production efficiency and value. Reserve Series structures provide greater flexibility in size, layout, and design.
- Model: Each pergola, pavilion, or hybrid model uses a different amount of timber and has its own roof design, joinery, structural requirements, and level of fabrication.
- Size: Larger structures require more timber, roofing, fabrication time, and installation labor. Longer spans may also require larger members or additional structural support.
- Timber package: Our standard and heavy timber packages use different timber dimensions. This affects material cost as well as the scale, shade, and architectural presence of the finished structure.
Additional selections such as custom colors, specialty roofing, walls, engineering, masonry coordination, or other project specific features may also affect the final price.
Because our standard designs, engineering, menu pricing, and CNC programming are already established, we can provide clear pricing quickly while delivering greater quality and value than a process that begins from scratch.
